Is that job offer real?

The 6 red flags of Gulf job scams

They ask YOU to pay

Registration fee, training fee, medical, 'refundable' deposit — real GCC employers pay these costs, always. Anyone charging you to get hired is scamming you.

Visa costs on the candidate

In Bahrain, the UAE and Saudi, the employer sponsors your visa and work permit. A 'job' that makes you pay for your own visa is a trap.

WhatsApp-only recruiters

A real company writes from a company email and interviews you properly. WhatsApp/Telegram-only contact with instant offers is a red flag.

Too good to be true

'No experience needed, BD 800/week, start tomorrow' — high pay for no skills is the oldest lure in the book.

Documents before interviews

Never send your passport, CPR, or bank details before a real interview and a written offer from a verifiable company.

Link shorteners & Google Forms

Legitimate employers use their own careers page or a known job board — not bit.ly links and anonymous forms.
